Microsoft Office in crisis


A ban has been implemented on the sales of the Microsoft's product "Office". Company was challenged to change some of the features of the product by U.S courts. A Canadian company "i4i" sued Microsoft to change the some elements of this product in patent dispute.
Microsoft has announced that the revised version of the application will be available in market according to court ruling.
Courts has also ordered Microsoft to pay the damage of the listed company. The damage amount is $290m. i4i wants a panel of 11 US judges to revise the decision.
In December 2009 a panel of 3 judges from US court in the case of disputed patent rejected Microsoft's challenged against the ruling of courts.
 The disputed patent is about XML language that help a program readable across different platforms and programs.
Now Microsoft has removed the feature from Microsoft Office products. The new software will be available from tomorrow.
